Artistic Approach

The place of man in the Universe is an enigma that has always inhabited our consciousness. Through this questioning, we develop a sensitivity to what surrounds us in order to understand.

There is no greater inspiration than what surrounds us. It is through a regular contemplative attitude that the evidence of the meaning of things leads us to an understanding of time. We must contemplate, analyze and observe with interest all the things that make up our daily lives.

It is through this philosophy that we seek simplicity, lightness, discretion. To find this serenity which will be in agreement with the rhythm of the living to understand the important dialogue between the know-how of time and the moment.

Through an understanding of our space, of what makes it up, we offer the possibility to our mind to travel, an ability that potentially allows us to discover new perspectives.

Like a spiritual journey where the goal is to discover, learn and understand. In a search for escape, for elevation, for a place that would allow a new vision of our world, I create a spiritual journey that I express through a pictorial narrative in the manner of a travel book. Each painting is a stage, a fragment of my journey.

Mixing analytical drawing and graffiti, I approach my paintings as topographic or geological maps. I like to read in my paintings hydrographic networks, cumulonimbus that intermingle and even faults that collide. It is by an accumulation of lines, of energy that I define the cosmology and consequently the horizon and the asymptote of life.

"Graduate of the School of Architecture and Landscape, Maxence Doré mixes analytical drawing and the practice of graffiti and asserts an accomplished, fine and colorful aesthetic.

Like a real landscape that we look at with delight because it is always changing but brings us so much peace, Maxence Doré’s work is a search for the beauty of life in opposition to the omnipresent pollution and the destruction of our planet.

His paintings invite us to question: the place of man in the Universe, the impact of the overexploitation of our planet, our link with Gaia, our Mother Earth."
